The village is complemented by the village green space. Particularly popular are the house gardens, which are planted several times a season either as lush flowering front gardens or as kitchen gardens with herbs and vegetables according to historical sources.

The plants for this are preferred biologically by the garden team of the Museumsdorf in their own nursery, the gardens are also kept purely biologically.
The Museumsdorf Niedersulz has been one of the show gardens of "Nature in the Garden" since 2002 and has already been awarded the quality seal "Golden Hedgehog" several times for the observance of all nature in the garden criteria.
On the other hand, around 340 different historical, regional fruit tree varieties and other vegetable rarities grow on the grounds of the Museumsdorf. In the Museumsdorf, importance is also attached to the natural protective functions of forests and hedges for birds and insects.
