Tips for your visit

In order to be able to enjoy your visit to the museum village as relaxed as possible, we would like to provide you with some valuable tips and information:

• The Museumsdorf Niedersulz represents a village from the 19th century. Accordingly, the paths are gravel and there are slight slopes.
• Recommended equipment: sturdy shoes and if necessary sun or rain protection
• Duration of the individual visit: at least 2 hours, but also whole day is possible
• Numerous benches to rest throughout the grounds
• Tour: free of choice or by free brochure "Museumsdorf kompakt" (to be handed out to all visitors at the cash desk)
• Extensive educational program for children and adults
• Brief description on all buildings and gardens
• Meals: Village inn in the village square in the middle of the Museumsdorf (open daily)
• Wine shop in the cellar lane: Saturday, Sunday and public holidays, open from 01:00 pm to 06:00 pm
• Dogs are welcome! Dogs are allowed on a leash, in the "Living farm" dogs are forbidden due to free range animals.
• Museum shop: Here you will find selected items from the region and a selected range of high quality products.
• Electrical charging station: At the visitors' parking lot there is a charging station, which can be used free of charge for electric bicycles, e-mobiles and campers. It can accommodate up to three campers (for a maximum of 2 nights). During the winter break (until 14/4/2019) the charging station is not in operation.

Accessibility

For handicapped people and wheelchair users, the Museumsdorf is sometimes difficult to access due to the historical building conditions (door thresholds, narrow door widths, etc.) and the hillside location with gravel paths. An accompanying person is strongly recommended.
The Museumsdorf has designated disabled parking, disabled toilets in the entrance building as well as in the village inn on the village square and an elevator in the entrance building.
If necessary, it is possible to access and leave the Museumsdorf on a level ground - after the ticket purchase in the entrance building. Our checkout team will be happy to inform you about this possibility in advance by telephone or on site.
Reduced admission is granted upon presentation of a severely disabled person's pass at the museum ticket office. The required assistant has free admission.
